Police Officer, International Speaker, Mental Health Advocate, Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Meditation Instructor, Master Shamanic and Holistic Health Practitioner

 

Stephanie has been recognized as an expert and leader in mental health awareness and wellness. She specializes in workplace stress, suicide prevention, emotional self-defense, and nutrition. With over 24 years as a veteran police officer in the Greater-Toronto-Area, Stephanie is adept at responding to a wide range of critical incidents, including traffic fatalities, sudden deaths, homicides, and suicides.


Stephanie is a pioneer in police wellness and spearheaded mindfulness, meditation and trauma-sensitive yoga programs for front-line officers. Stephanie has received accredited training from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy Associates (FBINAA) as a certified Comprehensive Officer Resiliency Master Trainer in Quantico, Virginia.


Stephanie teaches Officer Resilience, Mental Health, Suicide Awareness, Indigenous Awareness, and is part of the Critical Incident Response Team providing peer support for first responders.


In addition, she volunteers for several organizations. She is a former advisory member for Circles for Reconciliation (CFR), dedicated to fostering trusting and meaningful relationships between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous peoples as part of the 94 Calls to Action from the ‘Truth and Reconciliation Commission.’
