Justin Roach

Resiliency Faciliatator

Justin is a Law Enforcement Professional with 20 years of experience. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice form the University of Nebraska—Lincoln while minoring in Psychology and Spanish. Justin is a 20 year veteran of the Lincoln Nebraska Police Department with 10 years of leadership experience. Justin has held positions within the department as a Field Training Officer, Narcotics Investigator, Gang Investigator, Street Patrol Sergeant, Major Case Investigations Sergeant, and is currently the department’s Training Sergeant in charge of all ongoing and recruit training. Justin has been a SWAT team member for 17 years and is currently serves as one of the team leaders. Justin is married to his wife Stacey and lives outside of Lincoln with their two sons, Kael and Ryker. In his free time, Justin enjoys coaching football and baseball for both of his boys and relaxing on their acreage. Justin is passionate about resilience because it is personal to him. Justin has had several friends and coworkers battle through serious job-related mental health issues that have changed their lives and, unfortunately ended a few too soon. Justin has also personally been through tough times with job related mental health issues that affect work life, home life, and personal wellbeing. Resilient Minds has given new depth and dimension to Justin’s personal life journey and has opened many doors for friends and coworkers to live better lives while maintaining their passion for law enforcement and helping others. Justin has found that his new passion in law enforcement is leading the much needed cultural change in mental health and resiliency through driven instruction and personal practices rooted in faith and honesty.
