Chaplain Joe of Resilient Minds on the Front Lines currently serves as a SLEO III School Police Officer in Middlesex Borough and volunteers as a Police Chaplain for Monmouth University, as well as the Middletown, Keansburg, and Fair Haven Police Departments.

From 2017 to 2026, Joe was a police officer and Police Chaplain at Monmouth University. He retired from full-time policing in 2026 after 40 years of service and also worked several years for Cop2Cop.

Since March 2021, Joe has been an Ordained Chaplain with an ecclesiastical non-profit global outreach organization affiliated with National VOAD. This organization focuses on providing spiritual guidance, humanitarian relief, and assistance to those in need.

National VOAD members operate under presidential authority to respond to disasters across the United States and worldwide. 

Joe serves as the New Jersey Garden State Corp Chapter Commander for this organization managing 50 plus Chaplains through out NJ

Prior to his current roles, Joe retired as a Lieutenant from a New Jersey Municipal Police Department after 25 years of service, and has been active in law enforcement since 1986.

Joe is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Sociology with a concentration in Psychology at Monmouth University, aiming to become a licensed clinical psychologist. 

Additionally, he is beginning to enter the literary world by writing a book about his personal journey of resilience, significantly inspired by his involvement with Resilient Minds on the Front Lines.

Joe was instrumental in helping the RMOTFL Team achieve an academic program in resiliency at the undergraduate, and graduate level at Monmouth University.
