Amanda Gress
Resiliency Facilitator
Amanda is a dedicated law enforcement officer with extensive experience in public
safety, crisis intervention, officer wellness, and community outreach. Through her career, she
has been a proven leader in school resource operations, peer support, and instructor
development. She is Passionate About mental health advocacy, stress management education,
and supporting both community members and fellow officers through critical incidents and
traumatic events.
Since 2008, Amanda has worked at the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office located in
Nebraska. In that role, she served as a school resource officer, critical incident stress liaison,
LOSS team member (local outreach to suicide survivors) and academy instructor on stress
management, PRET, child abuse investigations, public speaking, leadership, and domestic
violence investigations. She is has served on her local Mental Health Association Board of
Directors as a board member from 2016 to 2021.
